In
her early career, Ms. Mishkin produced regional
theatre, wrote for television, produced and
co-produced short subjects and films, including
Jean Genet’s DEATHWATCH,
and served on President Carter’s Advisory
Committee on the Arts.
Ms. Mishkin’s Broadway credits include MATCH;
DANCE OF DEATH, starring
Ian McKellen & Helen Mirren; A CLASS
ACT; DAME EDNA: THE ROYAL TOUR, which
received a Tony Award and the Best Play National Broadway
Theatre Award 2001; AIN’T NUTHIN’
BUT THE BLUES; THE HERBAL BED; A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN,
which won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Revival;
WAITING IN THE WINGS, starring
Lauren Bacall & Rosemary Harris; four time Tony
Award winning THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE
(which also won both the Drama Desk Award and the Outer
Critics Circle Award for Best Play and was Time Magazine’s
#1 Play of ’98); URBAN COWBOY, THE
MUSICAL; and DIRTY BLONDE.
Chase is also an Associate Producer of the critically
acclaimed 2000 revival of THE MUSIC MAN.
Her Off-Broadway credits include FROM DOOR
TO DOOR; ROUNDING THIRD; WHITE TIE AND TAILS,
starring Tommy Tune; TALLULAH HALLELUJAH!,
starring Tovah Feldshuh; GROSS INDECENCY:
THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE; which
won both the Lucille Lortel and Outer Critics Circle
Award for Best Play; AS BEES IN HONEY DROWN,
recipient of the John Gassnar Playwriting Award; COLLECTED
STORIES, starring Uta Hagen; JAMES
NAUGHTON: STREET OF DREAMS, winner of
the MAC award; and LAST TRAIN TO NIBROC.
On London’s West End, Ms. Mishkin has produced
Tom Stoppard’s THE INVENTION OF LOVE,
winner of the ’98 Evening Standard Awards for
Best Play; and GROSS INDECENCY: THE THREE
TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE.
On television, Ms. Mishkin won the 2002 Emmy for Outstanding
Classical Music-Dance Program for SWEENEY
TODD IN CONCERT which first aired on PBS
on 10/31/01.
In addition, Ms. Mishkin is also an owner of the Gramercy
Theatre on 23rd Street.
