Lisa
Vioni is an actress, producer, and business
woman. Ms. Vioni spent eight years in finance
on wall street as a bond salesperson. She was
a Senior Vice President while at Lehman Brothers,
specializing in mortgage backed securities.
She left the sell side in 1998 to work as the
Director of Marketing for Ellington management
Group, a billion dollar hedge fund, where she
raised capital. Lisa left finance in 2001 to
pursue a career in acting and producing and
quickly created the Urban Island Theatre
Group through which she produced and acted
in three successful plays. A review of her production
of Alone At the Beach
said that “above all the acting was superb”
and Maids of Honor
that “the performances are arresting”.
Ms. Vioni’s most recent accomplishment
in theater is on Broadway. This season (2004)
Lisa was an ‘above the title’ producer
of Sixteen Wounded
starring Judd Hirsch. Last year she was an ‘above
the title’ producer of Long
Days Journey Into Night starring
Vanessa Redgrave, Brian Dennehy, Phillip Seymour
Hoffman and Robert Sean Leonard for which she
won a 2003 Tony Award and a 2003 Drama Desk
Award in the category of ‘Best revival
of a play on Broadway’. She is currently
an ‘above the title’ producer on
the much anticipated Broadway production of
Little Women. Lisa is also
in the process of develloping a performance
art piece called Velocity
and is working on the film Funny
starring Joey Pantoliano. In addition to her
theater related projects, Ms. Vioni is the CEO
and Chairman of Investment Management Resources
(IMR), a hedge fund related company. IMR puts
hedge funds and investors together in various
forums such as conferences and educational seminars.
Lisa received a BA from Smith College in French
studies and economics. She recently completed
an acting conservatory run by Michael Miller
and Ron Van Lieu at the Actors Center in NYC.
